Indiana State Fair
The Indiana State Fair it is an annual agriculture expo. Every summer since 1881, this event has hosted thousands of people; it has become a tradition where families spend an entire day exploring the fairgrounds and the adventurous cuisine.
For three years, I have been photographing different parts of the Indiana State Fair.
I have found that I am drawn to the areas that showcase long forgotten skills from the 19th and early 20th centuries, the midway rides and the uniquely ‘Hoosier’ food and drink. A ‘Hoosier,’ of course, is being someone from the Great State of Indiana.
Spending so much time photographing the State Fair made me realize how patriotic and traditional Americans are and how serious they take their farm tools, Whirl-A-Wheels and deep fried corn dogs.
